Ralph Wiegandt is a conservator trained in electron microscopy. Following an M.A. in conservation from the State University College of Buffalo he held conservator of objects position at the Henry Ford Museum and the Rochester Museum & Science Center. Pursuant advanced training in photograph conservation and research on daguerreotypes at George Eastman Museum, he was the primary researcher on the collaborative NSF-SCIART grant “Research and Conservation of Daguerreotypes” awarded to the University of Rochester. In his capacity of Visiting Scientist at the University, he has continued to develop the SEM-FIB-TEM capabilities at the University of Rochester Integrated Nanosystem Center applied to researching diverse materials.
