Griselda Pérez Robles is a Guatemalan archaeologist and conservator who has worked on the Maya area of Petén since 2001. She obtained her Licenciatura title at San Carlos University analyzing Preclassic ceramics from Piedras Negras. She has worked at El Perú-Waka´ (Waka') since 2003 analyzing ceramics, doing field research and working on the conservation of the figurine assemblage from Burial 39, and the ceramic vessels of the Royal Burials 61 and 39. She also has completed a MSc in conservation of architecture from San Carlos University and is former Director of Prehispanic and Colonial Monuments Department in Guatemala. She is currently directing excavations at Waka´s palace Acropolis an is also the Conservation Director of the Proyecto Paisaje Piedras Negras-Yaxchilan overseeing conservation of the site’s sculpted monuments.
