I am a conservator at the University of Chicago Library, where I focus on conservation treatment of rare materials such as Special Collections books, maps and documents. I have a BA in art history and studio art from Sarah Lawrence College and a Masters of Art Conservation from Queen's University. My pre-program experience included internships at the Iris and B. Gerald Cantor Center for the Arts at Stanford University and at Ezio Buzzegoli's conservation studio in Florence, Italy. While a student at Queen's, I completed internships at the National Gallery of Canada and at the National Archives and Records Administration. After graduating from Queen's with my MAC, I completed internships at the Sheridan Libraries and Museums of Johns Hopkins University, and at the Jewish Museum of Maryland. Before my current position at the U of C, I completed a two-year postgraduate fellowship in special collections conservation at the Northwestern University Library. During this fellowship, I researched 19th and 20th century music manuscript reproductions known as "ozalids." This type and era of photoreproduction is still my primary research interest.
