Daniela R. Leonard received a Postgraduate Diploma in the Conservation of Easel Paintings from the Hamilton Kerr Institute, University of Cambridge in 2009. After completing internships at the Opificio delle Pietre Dure in Florence and the Stichting Restauratie Atelier Limburg in Maastricht, she spent seven years working in American museums, as a Samuel H. Kress Fellow and a Kinney Endowment Fellow at the Cincinnati Art Museum, as an Andrew W. Mellon Fellow at the Art Institute of Chicago, and as an Assistant Conservator at both institutions. She entered into private practice in Chicago in 2017, and is sole proprietor of Reanda Art Conservation, LLC, which she established at the start of 2018. While in Chicago, she fostered an interest in design by taking Continuing Education courses at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, and a Human Centered Design course offered by Acumen and IDEO in 2014.
